YOUNG PROFESSIONALS ADVISORY BOARD

An opportunity for ambitious, young professionals to contribute to our mission and vision

Engaging the next generation of leaders

In 2010, the Young Professionals Advisory Board was formed to offer motivated young professionals the opportunity to learn about nonprofit board service and contribute to our mission. The board is open to individuals between the ages of 21 and 40 who are interested in serving Indiana families and children and are seeking leadership experience. We depend on members of the Young Professionals Advisory Board to organize two of our annual fundraisers. Members of the board work hand in hand with full-time employees and members of our other boards and committees. The Young Professionals Advisory Board offers extensive networking and professional opportunities for members.

Young Professionals Advisory Board Membership Structure

The advisory board is led by an elected executive committee comprised of two officers and three committee chairs. The board’s committees include membership, events and volunteers. Board meetings are held bimonthly, and committee meetings take place as needed. Committee participation is open to all members of the Young Professionals Advisory Board.

Membership Requirements

• Make a donation significant to you to Firefly Children and Family Alliance. This is a yearly tax-deductible contribution.
• Actively participate in one YPAB fundraising event.
• Participate on one board committee: volunteers, events or membership.
